
We love adding croutons to soup and salad. We have yet to find store bought ones that are not too crunchy. Their crispiness is part of their appeal, but sometimes they are too hard. So, recently we tried making our own stovetop croutons. We have tried them in the oven before, but on busy weeknights it is much easier to do something on the stovetop than waiting for the oven to heat up. Plus, on the stovetop they end up less crunchy and are much easier for our children to enjoy.

Ingredients:
1 loaf of sourdough bread (or bread of your choosing)
2/3 cup olive oil
5 cloves of garlic, minced
3 tablespoons of dried parsley
2 tablespoons of dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of crushed black pepper

Simple Steps:
Cut the sourdough bread into cubes
Add all of the ingredients into a bowl (except the bread)
Add in the bread and mix thoroughly until each piece of bread is covered with the
